The UDEL Summer Scholars Program enables motivated undergraduates to conduct in-depth research with university faculty. Student-developed research proposals are judged with select students receiving $4,000 funding. Selected as a Summer Scholar through the Undergraduate Research Program, I conducted independent research on the influence of social media on fashion trends and trend forecasting. My research culminated in a 24-page research article and a presentation of my findings to a panel of professors. I uncovered significant correlations between social media and changing trends in the industry that could help marketing professionals better understand, target, and cater to their desired audiences.
